During the 1930's, Epiphone ended up being one of the few manufacturers to take jazz music earnestly and so they launched the Sheraton, a hollow bodied f-hole guitar that allowed musicians to play as loudly as they wished devoid of the feedback they were obtaining with similar guitars.
